Here is some stuff that reminds me of my aviation activities. I don't exactly remember, when my enthusiasm about aviation startet. It must have been pretty early, because what I do remember is, that sitting in the sandbox I was always waving the TWA Super Connies when they flew over our house, approaching Zurich Airport (LSZH). Later, when I went to primary school, though I was yet not able to read without problems, my parents gave me the book "Fliegt mit!" (Come along flying) as a present. An instructional book for youngsters, written by Walter Ackermann, Aviator and Writer (Swissair-Captain DC-3). Since then, although I've never made it to become a Fighter Pilot nor an Air Transport Pilot, aviation has played (and still does) an important role in my life.
